In October Bethel-Eckert Enterprises, Inc. announced that it and its shareholders had entered into a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Always Fresh, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc., whereby Always Fresh would purchase an interest in Bethel-Eckert.

Recently, however, Bethel-Eckert has made the determination to terminate negotiations under the LOI related to any ownership changes.

Bethel-Eckert will continue to operate as it has for the past 41 years as a privately owned Corporation proudly specializing in full service military-only distribution of dry, chilled and frozen grocery products. There will be no changes in ownership, facilities or service schedules.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in this effort and especially our Principal accounts for their cooperation and understanding.
